Charismatic Movement
The Charismatic Movement is an interdenominational and ecumenical movement of individuals and ministries that propagates the false teaching that God continues to manifest Himself today through tongues, prophecies, healings, dreams, visions and other "signs and wonders." Grace Bible Church unashamedly embraces a "Cessationist" theology, that is, a belief that God has used these gifts in the past to reveal His Word and will to believers for the edification of the church and as an authenticating sign to the Jews, but these "revelatory" and "authenticating" gifts ceased once the canon of Scripture was complete. Grace Bible Church rejects the distinctive doctrines of the Charismatic Movement and will not engage in ministerial endeavor with those who embrace a Charismatic or Pentecostal theology.
