To Our Grace Bible Church Family

As you all know, our nation and the world is in the midst of a major health crisis that is impacting the lives of families and individuals on a day-to-day basis. The uncertainty of the scope and duration of this crisis has forced businesses and churches to examine and evaluate their practices so as to prevent the spread of this highly-infectious disease. Now, we have come to a place where we are required to heed the powers that be (Rom. 13:1-7) who have placed the city of Fresno in a “State of Emergency” and are prohibiting all events and gatherings of more than 50 people. As a result, we will not hold our regularly-scheduled services this Sunday, April 5th. While we certainly regret the need to make this decision, we fully grasp our responsibility to do our part to protect the health of all who are a part of Grace Bible Church.

We encourage each of you to take some time as individuals or as families this Lord’s Day to study God’s Word and worship the Lord within the confines of your own home. Also, please be aware that we will be broadcasting our Sunday service live starting on March 22nd at 10AM (Pacific daylight / GMT-7) on Youtube. Simply click on the below button when it is time.

Also be aware that we archive previous services on our Youtube channel. We urge you to also take advantage of this resource where you can choose from hundreds of sermons.

Without minimizing the physical and economic aspects of this global pandemic, as Christians we must make sure that our spiritual lives and priorities are not disrupted in any way whatsoever. In fact, this dire situation should press us into remembering and acknowledging that God is in complete control, and our responsibility is to continue to walk by faith rather than by sight. Our response should be different from that of the unbelieving world around us. While the world is full of uncertainty and fear, we must rest in the fact that nothing can separate us from Christ’s love (Rom. 8:35-39), and we are certain that God’s care, concern, and promises are true and unchanging (1 Cor. 1:20-22; Phil. 4:6-7).

Rest assured that this will pass and we will return to normalcy, yet in the meantime, we are here to be of help in any way possible for those in our church family who are in need of assistance or household supplies. Feel free to contact the church office at 559-325-6663 or any one of the church elders if you are in need. We appreciate your prayers for us as we continue to press on, and you can be certain of our prayers for you all at this time. We will continue to keep in contact with you with regard to a date when our regularly-schedules services will resume, so look for additional e-mails in the near future.

May the Lord bless you as you seek to honor and glorify Him in all things. Colossians 2:6-7.

Yours in Christ,

Gary Freel
